The War of Irrelevance was a naval conflict between Korlsani and Xynder naval vessels over the recognition of each others' nautical and fishing boundaries. The conflict was resolved after both parties agreed to recognize each others' nautical borders as well as cooperate in fishing and nautical efforts. The War of Irrelevance was named after multiple newspapers internationally recognized the conflict as "A war so irrelevant that neither government could be bothered to respond until it was already over". The war was officially declared over on 12 January, 1989 when the leaders of both countries agreed to "hold a meeting over tea" as a symbolic end to a petty dispute. After the dispute, a fishing company brand co-owned by Xynder and Korlsani shareholders was named "Irrelevance Fish & Co." which commemorates the dispute.
