The Eni War of Independence or West Hedan Secession Crisis was a war fought between the Kingdom of Liosol and the territory of Hedan.
Origins of the conflict
Partition of Hedan lands
After the conquest of the Malas Empire, the Alotol Confederation divided the "Hedan territory" into two realms: the Malas territory and the Kingdom of Hedan. The former Malas territories in the Southeast of the Alotol Confederation were fully integrated in the Kingdom of Luma.
The 1778 Incident
Course of the war
The war began as a small movement in 1803 to secede from the Alotol Confederation after Emperor Agore reduced the Kingdom of Hedan to a territory, effectively removing its representation. Outer Hedan refused to leave the Confederation, in part because it was heavily populated by ethnic Alotol.
1809 withdrawal
In 1809, the Hedan territory declared its withdrawal from what was left of the Alotol Confederation, stating that it no longer had an obligation to the Kingdom of Liosol. Outer Hedan immediately declared independence from the territory, stating that it would "stand with Liosol" as the Republic of East Hedan. The remaining Hedan territory proclaimed the West Hedan Republic shortly after this announcement.
Alotol involvement
The Provisional Government of Liosol focused on Hedan in 1822.
