Stratavar (Stratavite: srAtavr srǎtawr [ʐɻæˈtavɐ]), officially the Republic of Stratavar, is a landlocked country located in northern Ystel. It borders Gabolonia to the north, Tullachia to the northeast, and Saant and Lower Stratavar to the south. It additionally administers a claim over the disputed territory of Upper Stratavar, which, besides itself, only Rocnaia recognises. Stratavar has about 260,000 inhabitants, excluding Upper Stratavar. Its capital Yodaw is also the largest city.

Although various independent Stratavite kingdoms had existed up until the XXth century, the first Stratavite republic only materialised in February 2024 during the breakup of the Tullach Chieftaincies, which had been orchestrated with the help of various Stratavar-based separatists groups such as the Stratavite Democratic Party. Having declared its independence from the Tullach Chieftaincies on 29th February 2024, less than a day after the Independents' League leader Basár ot'Iccûes' inaugural speech, Stratavar is one of the youngest nations in Sahar, and is the joint most recent member of the Ystelian Community and the Asuran Economic International Oceanic Union.

Flag

The flag of Stratavar is, in its most basic description, a tricolour of yellow-green-yellow bands. Charged on the green band is an eight-pointed star, symbolic of Aroism. The band is surrounded by the face of an unidentified pre-Aroist deity.

The design in its current form was adopted in 2006 through popular usage whilst Stratavar was a region of the Tullach Chieftaincies, however it received moderate colouring tweaks in an effort to distinguish the shade of the green from that of the national flag of Tullachia.
