Durykia (Duryk: Tıv Duryk [tɯv ˈdurɪk]), officially the Duryk Republic, is a country located in Northwest Miraria, west of Ngeyvger and north of Qgam.
Etymology
The word Duryk refers to the ethnic group of the same name inhabiting the Duryk Archipelago. Where the name was derived from is still uncertain; however, it is a possibility that it was derived from the word dulëh, "cold."
History
Prehistory
The Durykian archipelago has been inhabited by early Alpans at around 400 BC, as suggested through DNA evidence. Due to the significance of seafaring in Duryk history and culture, anthropologists suggest that the Duryks traveled to Northwest Miraria through marine travel.
