Background
Bavkirak had been a loose coalition of clan kingdoms since the collapse of the Bavkir empire, up until Lord-King Behtik Khajaan managed to unite the various clans into a nation in the middle of the 19th century. The consequence of this was that the nation was decentralized during its war with the rising power of Hayaf, which was more centralized at the time.
Taanttu War
Behtik Khajaan, being the only son of the Mayor-Queen of Yvo, was set to inherit the entirety of the kingdom of Yvo upon her death. The Lord of Hayaf, Vazhav Mayıvxiik, also had a claim to the throne through the patrilineal lineage of the king of Yvo who had also died in 1876, sparking the succession crisis.
The war had ended in a stalemate with both countries willing to accept the borders as they were. Hayaf's political situation allowed it to expand to the west, incorporating land, people and industry to allow it to recover faster from the war. Bavkirak was left low on resources for the common man, with equipment being sent to the front with Hayaf.
Spread of Kuulism
In the late 1800s, and into the early 1900s Kuulist, Leftist, and generally progressive ideas had begun to spread among the populace of the countries of modern day Taanttu and Bavkirak. This led to the formation of the Kuulist Coalition (an alliance of groups dedicated to advancing Kuulism and establishing a Kuulist state in the region) and the Colorless Brotherhood (A political, and later military, organization dedicated to advancing the rights of those who had become disowned or otherwise did have the assistance of a clan.)
Yvomi Nationalism
The occupation war being held on the land Yvomi people led to general resentment due to the destruction of the countryside, and ultimately the formation of the Yvomi nationalist movement.
General Revolt
The growing resentment of the general public came to a head in 1930, with various factions announcing their legitimacy as the ruler of Bavkirak. The beginning of the single deadliest conflict in Bavkir history was set in motion.
Course of the War
Kuulist Alliance Formation
With the surrender of the Yvomi nationalists and incorporation of their forces, The Kuulist Coalition became the strongest single power in the conflict. This prompted the Colorless Brotherhood to join forces with the Coalition, bolstering its forces. Out of fear of the ramifications of the Kuulist Alliance taking power and ultimately dissolving the clans, various clans swore fealty to either the republican or monarchist forces.
Taanttic intervention
Compromise of 1939
Due to the growing power of the Kuulist Alliance, the monarchist and republican forces held a meeting, where they signed the concordance of 1939, and drafted a constitution for the new Bavkir state.
Aftermath
Establishment of Bavkirak
Midcentury Economic Miracle
With outside funding and reforms a baby boom and and rapid industrialization began in the 40s, propelling the nation towards success.
