Faichan (Tyunyi: Féyçan; Féychan [ˈfˠɛjt͡ɕan̪ˠ]), officially the State of Faichan (Tyunyi: Xé Féyçanukyu; Xé Féychanukyu [ɕɛ ˈfˠɛjt͡ɕan̪ˠukʲu]), is a country located in Northern Miraria. Faichan shares borders with Alakaes, Yerishe, Nokonozan and Humosh, Istlurlobe, Oyazan and Fukota to the south, Soptemia and Ensia and Suenia to the west, X to the north, X to the east. The country's capital and largest city is Nlítyekeg

Etymology

The name Faichan is derived from Middle Foeian Föqayçan "Transrolovia". The name began to be used some time after the start of large-scale expansion to the east. Before that, the name Tyúnesan was more common. It comes from the ethnonym Tyúny.

In Foeian there are three different exonyms for Faichan. The oldest one is Föqjçn, which means "Transrolovia" in general, the second one is ÜqFükötâ, which literally means "Small Fukota". However, the Fukota in the name comes from a different root, from Middle Foeian föç "north, northern". And the third one is Feqçaqta, which means "Faichan" and borrowed from Tyunyi Féychan.
