Tayozepu is a city and municipality in the Eastern part of the island of the same name, and the capital of Danshapu. It is historically the residence and fiefdom of the High Chieftain of Danshapu, which gives it its name, literally meaning High Chief's seat. It has a population of 1.823.128, making it the most populated city in Danshapu. With an area of 41.42 km2 (16 sq mi), the city occupies a large portion of the island where it stands. The elevation of the town's centre is 9 m (30 ft) above sea level and the highest point being Tsosaiku, a volcanic cone with an elevation of 249 m (817 ft).

Tayozepu boasts a rich history dating back centuries, with archaeological evidence suggesting sentient settlement in the area as early as 1000 BCE. However, as with many other islands in the Danshapu archipelago, little is known of its earlier inhabitants, as they were either exterminated or fully integrated by the Danshahi. The island was colonized by the Su clan, at the time residing in Anopu island. This colonization, together with the colonization of Sunukhipu island, led to the eventual wealth and manpower that allowed the Su clan to win the First Elemental War.

Following the Su victory in the war, Tayozepu island became neutral ground, belonging to no clan. It was formaly the only fiefdom of the High Chief. Its natural harbor facilitated the trade of goods, leading to the city's rapid economic growth.

Today, Tayozepu thrives as a bustling metropolis, blending modern amenities with echoes of its storied past. The city's vibrant cultural scene is reflected in its diverse architecture, cuisine, and traditions. Visitors can explore landmarks such as the Chieftain's Palace, where the now largely cerimonial High Chief resides, or stroll through bustling markets brimming with local crafts and delicacies.

Despite its urban development, Tayozepu remains committed to preserving its natural surroundings. The city's government has implemented initiatives to promote sustainability and protect the island's unique ecosystems, ensuring a harmonious balance between progress and environmental conservation.

Tayozepu's dynamic economy continues to drive growth and innovation, with key industries including tourism, manufacturing, and technology. The city's strategic location has made it a gateway for international trade, fostering connections with markets around the globe.

As the cultural and economic heart of Danshapu, Tayozepu continues to evolve, welcoming newcomers while honoring its rich heritage. Whether marveling at its scenic vistas, indulging in its culinary delights, or immersing oneself in its vibrant festivities, visitors to Tayozepu are sure to be captivated by the city's unique charm and timeless allure.
