The prehistoric history of the eastern Gelog region is somewhat obscure. Evidence of human habitation stretches all the way back to the late Mesolithic, which archaeological remains indicating limited contact with nearby Vaniuan and Soltennan cultures. Mahavic peoples first appeared in the region around the late 14th century, and by 1450 the entire region had been annexed by the Suenyi empire.

Ensia and Suenia (Suenian: enca ɨe sûencina Enšä õa Süenšinä, Ensian: Enšä õa Süönšinä [ˈenʃæ ɯɑ ˈsyønʃinæ]), officially the Federation of Ensia and Suenia[a]) is a country located in North Miraria. The country is located along the eastern shore of the Gelog Sea. Ensia and Suenia has an estimated population of 8.54 million as of 2020, with the majority of the population living along the coast of the Gulf of Ieni.

Rising ethnic tension during the mid 20th century culminated in three major civil wars collectively referred to as the East Gelog Wars. This period saw widespread instances of ethnic cleansing and other human rights violations as well as the Horpo-Piesa nuclear disaster and ultimately culminated in an invasion by International Congress-led peacekeeping forces in 1987.

The modern country is home to three(+) main ethnic groups, the Mahavic Ensians and Suenyi and the indigenous ??. Suenians are the largest ethnic group, with Ensians second, and ?? third. Approximately 55% of the population adheres to Zarasaism, with Iovism and traditional religions making up most of the remainder. The country is a federal presidential republic with an officially non-partisan executive, with representatives from all three ethnic groups being mandated by law.

Ensia and Suenia has a lower-middle-income economy and a medium-to-high level of human development, seeing a solid level of economic growth in recent years.
