Nevira is considered a regional power in both Ekuosia and Baredina, having the largest economy on the continent and being an influential member of the Ekuosian Union. History

Early History
The Neviric peoples first originated in what is now ???, as part of the Ekuo-Lahiri societies along the Saru Coast. During the Adzo-Neviric Migration, the ancestors of the Neviric and Adzamic peoples migrated southwest along the coast over a few centuries, splitting into several distinct peoples as groups split off and ventured further inland; those that were to become the Neviric people reached the Ekuos Delta around 1500 BCE. Over the next four hundred years, they established dominance over the various other peoples in the region, but mostly remained in the ??? region as they had not yet unified. Having also brought writing in the form of the ??? script, the Kauzics were the first to introduce writing to Sizhak, and consequently to the entirety of Kauzia. [Probably some other route]
Than and the Classical Period
Probably redoing this entire section from scratch or nearly so
By 1110 BCE, the Kauzics had unified and developed their own distinct culture. Villages had begun to develop across Zint, especially on the coast and along the many rivers in the area. In 1098 BCE, the first Kauzic emperor, Tem, took control of the Kauzic villages and created a loosely unified civilization known as Than. The next three centuries was characterized by a pursuit of knowledge in order to "uplift" Kauzic society, as well as an increase in literacy in the Itamea script. By then, the Itamea script had become significantly defective as the Kauzic language distinguished many more sounds than were written down.
As Kauzic society began to flourish for the first time, emperors sought expansion in the 800s BCE. The Kauzics were among the first in the world to invent iron weaponry, and soon after prepared for war against the surrounding peoples. By 850 BCE, the Kauzics had control of what are now the Zet and Vat regions, and slowly pushed further east. In 845 BCE, the emperor Lhat initiated a twenty year long conquest of much of modern-day Kauzia, assimilating or sometimes destroying different peoples along the way.
The Classical Period began shortly after Grik became the emperor of Than in 810 BCE. The Kauzics began to focus less on war and more on the pursuit of knowledge, as had happened before expansion, but the Classical Period was notable for this attitude being more widespread and more emphasized. Advancements in sciences such as astronomy were made over the next three centuries, and with the rise of Mijism public interest in philosophy and spirituality grew with it. Mijism became such an important part of the Kauzic culture that it partially led to a change in Than's leadership, which until its collapse would be "politically ruled" by the bant (the equivalent of an emperor) and "spiritually ruled" by the rant (the equivalent of a pope). This "half-theocracy" system would provide the basis for Kauzic government up until the late 18th century.
It was also during this time that cities such as Iru and Niuzhen began to grow larger than any previous settlements as advances in art and architecture were made. The Temple of Mij was built in the Seper to serve as the "spiritual capital" of Than, and continues to be the only Mijist temple ever built in Kauzia. But many small shrines had also been made in this period, and today they are scattered across the country.
Warring States
Neviric Empire
By the early 1400s, Nevira had slowly begun to reunify. In the 1430s, the [GROUP1] took control over the entirety of Nevira and declared themselves leaders of the Neviric peoples. The 1450s saw a wave of assimilation as [GROUP1] rulers sought to homogenize the country in hopes of minimizing internal conflicts. Even after the resistance was defeated and shamed, the emperor continued to build up the military, having a strong desire to "uplift" other Ekuosian nations through conquest. The first emperor of the actual Neviric Empire, [PERSON1], shared a similar but less extreme desire (coupled with a hunger for power). Just two years after coming into power, [PERSON1] ordered the Neviran military to invade the west.
The Kauzic Empire was short-lived, however, having lost all of its foreign territory by 1520 and affected by a brief civil war beginning in the same year. The Kauzic Civil War lasted only two years, ending with the anti-imperialists taking control of Iru. The third emperor Bat Chalh, was executed because of his inability to keep the empire together and his neglecting of the Kauzic people in favor of sending resources to the military. The Mijist leader Rat Tugh was executed as well for his support of the emperor as well as his complacency.
Neviric Renaissance
Even after the events of the civil war, there had been few calls for democracy, but steps were made to check both rulers' power. Two separate councils (one political and one religious) were created with representatives from each region, neither of which were democratically elected.
Although the Kauzic Empire had more or less been at war for its entire lifespan, unlike previous governments its collapse did not destroy Kauzic unity. The Kauzic nation was for the most part intact, and slowly began to stabilize as the years passed.
