Upper Maram (Balak: Huğeh Maram Huğeh Maram [hʊˈʁɛh mɑˈɾɑm]), officially the State of Upper Maram (Balak: Huğeh Maram Dotağ Huğeh Maram Dotağ [hʊˈʁɛh mɑˈɾɑm dɔˈtɑʁ̞]), is a state of Balakia, bordering the states of Balachik, Hamavan, Chindush and Qersheven, as well as the country of Gushlia. Its capital is Sâkzeman. Upper Maram is the Xth largest of Balakia's 15 federal subjects, and the third most populous, with almost 8 million inhabitants.
