Szezkia (/ʃʲɛzkiɐ/; Szezk: Šецkia [ɕʲɛzskiɐ]), officially The Kingdom of Szezkia (Szezk: Qяžеdяľ na Šецkia [t͡ɕjäʑʲɛdjäɫ nä ɕʲɛzskiɐ]) is a coastal country in Midwest Baredina. Its only border is shared with Norjihan. Szezkia's territory spans approximately 49,250 square kilometres (19,000 square miles), and is mostly flat, with the highest point of land being less than 500 metres above sea level. The population of just over 13.5 million comprises mainly ethnic Szezks. The capital and largest city is Avdjereg. The official language is Szezk, which began as an artificial Xhovian liturgical language that was introduced alongside new religious ideas from Xhodiar.

The Szezk arrived in the territory of present-day Szezkia in the early-14ᵗʰ century, when fleeing from the revolt in Norjihan against them, led by Govegz Rona. Independence of the Szezk Monarchy from the tribal system of early-medieval Norjihan was established in 1307, following the battle of Avdjereg in 1306, which took place where the modern capital is situated. Szezkia has a history of armed neutrality, and has not engaged itself in international war since 1834, although, as Avdjereg is the location of most of the Baredan Union's headquarters, it is responsible for much of the international relations of the region, including the management of and response to conflict.

The country is controlled by the head of state: a benevolent monarchy which still has much of the power it used to, although is limited by a constitution compiled for the prevention of decisions being made that would adversely affect citizens' livelihoods or the correct functioning of the government that it otherwise has jurisdiction over. The constitution has been described as 'unobtrusive', as the Szezk Royal Family retains great authority, and is generally trusted in society, with a positive view of the monarch's role in the running of the country. Day-to-day issues are, however, usually dealt with by The Senate, which works to support the royals in political affairs. It is led by the elected Head of Government, the Head Chancellor, whose position can be rejected by the King or Queen, although this has never happened, and would likely cause both civil and political unrest if it did.

Szezkia's population consists almost entirely of people from the Szezko-Norjihani ethnolinguistic group. The culture of Szezks is generally very different from that of Norjihanis, the main difference being a nearly total absence of religious practices in Szezkia that play a large part in the Norjihani way of living. A large percentage of the population works in the quaternary sector, helping to produce the technologies sold by Szezk mega-corporations, which serve as some of the main contributing exports for the economy, along with a tourism industry driven by the warm climate and large service sector.

The Kingdom of Szezkia is one of the most developed countries in the world, with the third highest HDI of any country, at 0.927, and the second highest GDP per capita, after The Republic of the Mbamigi Islands, which also has a very large tourist sector. It ranks at or near the top globally in several metrics of national performance, including in areas such as civil and economic liberties, quality of life, and life expectancy, although its government is sometimes criticised for not tackling commonly perceived remaining injustices still present in society, such as xenophobia and religious intolerance, high levels of corruption, and a fairly large wealth gap which is exacerbated by the materialistic-ideology-driven capitalist regime, that, according to national surveys, agrees well with the ethics of much of the population.
