Cuáma was founded in around 1700 BC as a group of people believed they had found the mountain upon which [[Gyddinré]] had fallen. They walked from the foot of the mountain to the sea where it was said that Gyddinré had walked into upon leaving Sahar. They built a temple and some houses and connected them with straight and precise roads, as they believed this would fit in more with the principle of [[Anad]] and please the Gods.
Traditionally, Cuáma was founded in 2520 BCE as twenty tribes from the surrounded area came together and formed the Kingdom of Wa.
