Karduv (IPA: /kaɹdəv/, Native language: Karduv, IPA: /kaɾduv/), officially the Republic of Karduv, is a country located in West Soltenna. It is bordered by the Kingdom of Herdek, the Sovereign Kingdom of Liosol, the Hyuy En Republic, and the Democratic Republic of Suijo. Despite not actually bordering it, the Republic of Karduv has many cultural, historical, and linguistic ties to the Qonklese Federation. The Republic of Karduv maintains a strong relationship with Qonklaks.
Etymology
Karduv has two different names depending on the country. In Karduvic, the name "Karduv" comes from the founding ancient tribes of Qariq and Hartow. When the two tribes unified the area around modern day Vudak, they combined into the Qartow, later shifting to Karduv. Many other countries may call Karduv "Ðak" after the Qonklese dynasty that fled to Karduv to continue their rule.
