The Radical Republican Action Party (Damserz: Dúna Ireşetba Ezguy Dákat /ˈduːnɐ ireʃedˈbɒ ezˈɡuj ˈdɐːkɑt/ is a liberal conservative party in Siyezan. As of the 2014 legislative election, it is the party with the biggest representation in the national legislature, possessing, by their own, 9 seats more than those needed by a majority. Although the party is better known for putting forward Sáriv Yominqáma as it's presidential candidate, who has been in charge for 12 years since the 2009 elections. The party presents itself as a centre party, and has as goals to protect the cohesion of the Siyezi nation and protect its people from injustice, be it from internal or external factors.

History

Until independence

The party was founded in 1916 as a coalition of various movements advocating for republicanism, which had growing popularity in the kingdom. During the Second Independence War, the party and it's armed wing fought against the Vos, but after the war was over and Arzin III established as the monarch of independent Siyezan, the party's activities became significantly reduced, before it's complete outlawing in 1929.

Kingdom of Siyezan

Arzin III introduced the Siyezi Resurgence Party as the sole legal party in the country in 1929, forcing the DIE to operate underground. It grew into the second biggest opposition movement to Arzin's regime, outcompeted only by the Siyezi Workers' Party. It developed a separate identity from the Balkist movement: while still possessing a strong revolutionary element, it accepted more elements of the free market and developed a greater focus on democracy.

Civil war

The DIE took place in the 2nd Ahuyil uprising that officially deposed the monarchy

=2nd republic

In the 1944 elections, the party had a majority in the legislature, and their candidate, Tayoşta Davín, won the presidency.
The republic proved to be unstable, and Davín's government proved to be unable to properly reconstruct the damage done by the civil war (which was complicated by the Great Ekuosian War disrupting regional economic activity). In 1948, the Siyezi Workers' Party would win the elections, and while not fully outlawed, the party would have its activities very restricted.

Post-Sohamist revolution

The party saw a resurgence at the end of the dictatorship in 2002.

Ideology

The party describes itself as centrist, with factions drifting either more to the left or the right. It emphasises the need for societal stability and the importance of both social justice and democracy to ensure national cohesion.
It supports a variant of economic liberalism that focuses on ensuring both fair competition and consumer protection using regulations and subsidies. It is against the privatisation of assets of national interests, such as healthcare, infrastructure, energy and the state news network, albeit their position this topic has varied over the years and is now more lenitient on allowing other enterprises to compete with state-owned assets.
In foreign policy, the party is slightly nationalist, although they accept the need for international cooperation whenever it is needed. They are strictly opposed to isolationism.
