Lithian (Lithiya [ˈlitʰija]), also sometimes referred to as the Lugid language, is a Rietic language, whose other significant members include Kadic and Melune. The language is primarily spoken in southern and eastern regions of Soltenna, particularly on the Amiyant Sea basin. With official status in Lugida and Fordas, Lithian has 86 million native speakers in addition to 94 million second language speakers. Combined, Lithian's 180 million total speakers is the second largest among languages of Soltenna, only behind Kwang.
