Izovangian culture until the 1950s had numerous foreign influences, but was mostly based on the culture of the ancient Matlic tribes indigenous to the region. Three major "waves" of influence changed the region's culture due to long periods of conquest by the [[Adzamic Empire]], the [[Grand Ekuosian Empire]], and the [[Kauzic Empire]]. Izovangia (Kuazhang: Izoveńca, IPA: /i.zɔ.βɛŋ.ça/), is a totalitarian dictatorship in Ekuosia. It borders Tabiqa to the east, New Asmal to the west, and Lons to the northwest. All three countries claim part of the disputed region of Central Ekuosia, of which the entirety is claimed by Izovangia.

Etymology

The Kuazhang term Izoveńca and its cognates in other Matlic languages originate from the Matlic phrase idobogâŋ pgia, literally translated as "central land".
