Athsud (Athsudan: Óđšud [aðɕud]), officially the Federation of Athsud, is a country located in Northeastern Milevia. It only borders Juhashka, but shares maritime borders with Farmosh as well.
Athsud is the largest nation in Milevia, at 1,013,480.39 km², and holds the second largest military in the region.
Etymology
The name Athsud is thought to have originated from the Proto-East-Mirarian *ɢodɬuɣad, which means the source/start of the settlement.

Prehistory
Early History
Sunrise Horde
The Sunrise Horde invaded in what is now Western Athsud, and displaced the existing Milevics. The remaining Milevics started to adopt Mahavic culture and language, and began to distance themselves from the still predominantly Milevic Eastern Athsud.

15th-17th Century
During the 15th through 17th centuries, Athsud continued to be a patchwork of small states vying for dominance.
Athsudan Unification
In 17XX, X, leader of the X state, was able to unify the largely Eastern Athsud. Through a series of intimidations, wars, and diplomatic negotiations. The Kingdom of Athsud was created, with him being the new King of this unified state. He died after only 5 years and was succeeded by his son X.
Post-unification and the Juhash-Athsudan War
(Juhash-Athsudan War goes here) During the reign of X, many new reforms were made, but the country still remained an Absolute Monarchy. This absolutism lead to many new political radicals, especially those who had lived in Republics pre-unification, to write anti-monarchist material, such as Ogmót Ugþib.

Athsud is a Semi-Presidential Parliamentary Republic. The President being head of diplomatic relations and negotiations, and the Prime Minister being head of Government.
