Melunebet (Lithian: Melon [ˈmelon]) is a city situated inland on the Mel River in the northern part of Lugida. Formerly the capital of the Kingdom of Melunair, the city is now the capital city of Melon Prefecture and home to around 3 million people.

(something) culture traces back to the 3rd millennium BCE in Melunebet. Scientific consensus suggests the period as marking the founding of Melunebet as a permanent settlement, which was briefly dormant in the 3rd century BCE due to conquests by the Altha Dynasty. Much of Melunebet remained in tranquility for more than a millennia, from the decline of Avite Empire in (sometime) CE up until the Lugid Revolution in the 1860s, forming conditions suitable for the distinctive Melune culture.

Home to SESCO's regional headquarters of Soltenna and West Miraria, the city is now known for its vibrant and well-preserved culture and tradition. Its high cultural and religious affection with flowers gave it the nickname "the City of Flowers", as reflected by Melunebet's large floral industry. Melunebet is one of Lugida's top tourist destinations with number of tourists reaching (some number) million people throughout 2015. Garden of Melon is one of Lugida's oldest and most well-preserved Hvoirs and is one of the city's landmarks, marking the center of the Old City of Melunebet. Other landmarks include (something), (something), and (something).
