The 1933 Cananganam-Soptemia Agreement, also known officially as the Agreement for the Cooperation of Better Interests of Cananganam and Soptemia in Financial Matters of the Arctic Circle, is an economic treaty signed by Cananganam and Soptemia. The treaty discussed the matters of financial interdependence and the building of positive relations as part of Cananganam's Apā́ Ṣurā́nhā (Sunset Policy). For Soptemia, the treaty allowed them to modernize a portion of their armed forces prior to their intervention in the Faichani Civil War.

1933 Provisions

The provisions discussed between minister Srảs Buklonoz of Soptemia, and minister Vagā́lā Nathnā́ of Cananganam, pertained to the matter of Kuulist containment doctrine and the betterment of relations. Between the two nations, Soptemia was in need of military equipent to modernize its army as the Faichani Civil War threatened to pull Soptemia in. The initial agreement ratified by both nations permitted the transfer of 16 Chībhḗ-1 tanks, 24 TC-1 propeller fighters, and over 200 tonnes of military equipment in the form of machine guns, rifles, and other similarly related materials. In return, Soptemia was to offer a mutual free trade contract with Cananganam for ten years.

The agreement was well met by members of the Soptemian government, where the armaments received was seen as a positive gain for the military which had lagged behind technologically at the time. In addition, both the Soptemian and Cananganamese markets profited from the new source of exports to one another.

1935 Provisions

After finding the materials to their desire, Soptemia's Srảs Buklonoz approached Vagā́lā Nathnā́ again on the matter of the 1933 treaty to make the terms permanent, with the condition of more Cananganamese material to be delivered to Soptemia with urgency. An additional 108 Chībhḗ-1 tanks, 70 TC-1 and 10 TC-2 propeller fighters, and an undisclosed amount of military material was to be delivered. The terms were agreed upon by both parties on June 2, 1935.
