History of Lugida

The recorded history of Lugida dates back from around 1000 BCE, under the Hallyn dynasty, although historical records from the Tigrate dynasty are known to describe kingdoms as far as the Kylon, which dates back from around 2100 BCE. The historical records also mentioned Lugida as a part of Qonklaks' Khon dynasty on about 2500 BCE, which has a profound influence on the Lugid culture in general. Lugida's history has been shaped by the almost-constant contact with the neighboring dynasties, the flourishing agriculture, the rise of Avism, and the significance of Lugida as a historical thalassocracy.

Prehistory

The earliest known traces of Lugid people date back from around 35,000 BCE, which came from the first wave of Soltennan migration which started on 50,000 BCE. The first wave goes from Ekuosia to Soltenna through Akulanen. The first wave also brought in early Qonklese, Riyan, and Xynder peoples. As a result, Lugids in general are genetically related to these peoples.

Forming the majority of the Lugid populace is the Lenthiri people, which is the largest ethnic group of Lugida. Lenthiris originate from the first Soltennan migration wave that went through Riyana, which later proceeds to migrate through Yerlan. The other known Lugid ethnic group is the Melunes, who came from a different branch of the migration wave. The Melunes originate from the wave that came through Hux Kham and into Naria, which later diverged on around 30,000 BCE. In the divergence, a small but somewhat significant amount of people diverged towards northern Lugida, while the rest continues straight into Yerlan.

Agriculture in Lugida did not flourish until around 6000 BCE, but a 2005 analysis of early Lugid artifacts found in modern-day Kitlimis show indication of a mastery of fishing back on 8000 BCE. This allowed early cultures in Lugida to form from around 5500 BCE. However, Lugida won't be a significant power until the Qonklese conquest on 2400 BCE.
