Otsuk (Otsuki: Ootsuk [---]), officially the Sovereign Area of Otsuk, is a Sovereign Area of the Federation of Athsud. Otsuk lies to the south of the Athsudan mainland, and is close to the other nearby islands of Milevia such as Farmosh. It is the only area in Athsud afforded some manner of autonomy due to its distinct and separate history from Athsud. It is divided into 15 provinces, with the regional capital being X. Unlike the rest of Athsud, Otsuk is inhabited mostly by South Milevic peoples, and is majority Pashaist by faith. Otsuk was only brought under Athsudan control following the Otsuk War and Athsud’s subsequent colonization.

Following the end of the Otsuk War in 1880, Otsuk would be effectively colonized by Athsud and exploited for its resources. This made Athsudan rule unpopular among the public, and due to the widespread distrust of the monarchy in Athsud, rebellions and insurrections would become a frequent problem for the region.
