The Quoncic languages are a branch of the Ngerupic languages, which include many widely spoken languages of Soltenna. In particular, the official languages of Karduv and Quaycain are Quoncic. The Quoncic languages encompass the Kreng languages together with some related languages. They share a large amount of vocabulary with no clear Ngerupic origin, which may have been acquired from a substrate. As the Quoncic languages tend towards monosyllabic words, this substrate is almost certainly distinct from the Xuni substrate.
