Classification

Linguists classify Foeian language as a Vaniuan language, specifically as a Foeic language belonging to the Western Vaniuan branch of the Ryamaian language family. The closest relative to the Foeian language is the Buwcm language, spoken in Aq, Köq and Ö regions.
